The Vacation Labs Hackathon is back! This is the third edition of the Hackathon, and while the first two were great(check them out here & here), this time we make it even better. Unleash your tech savviness. Let loose your coding instincts. Meet like minded people. This weekend, do what you do best. Come join us at Vacation Labs.
We love coding. We love Goa. We love coding in Goa! And we’re building the next-generation of travel-technology products out of Skyvilla, our bungalow-office in Porvorim. Linux, Ruby, Rails, Haskell, HTML5, jQuery, AngularJS, Git, and Postgres are the tools of our trade. And yes, we open source.
Discuss and decide what you will be building for the hackathon.09:30 AM

Get to meet like-minded techies. Brainstorm for ideas. Code, have fun, code, debug, have fun... you get the idea! Oh, and there's a movie somewhere in between as well.
Sky Villa in Porvorim, with a birds eye view of the Reis Magos hills. Buzzing inside, serene outside, with papayas in the garden, and "Feni" for canine company.
Meals and beverages on the house while you do your thing. And a movie on Saturday night!
Why cut the good times short? Stay the night over on Saturday with us at Porvorim and start again Sunday!
You can check out more pics on our facebook page.
11th & 12th March @ Sky Villa, Porvorim Goa.
We’d rather you stayed overnight on Saturday. A sleepover with fine food, coding, new friends and sci-fi movie is a great brain enhancer. However, nothing is compulsory - if you'd like to go home, you can.
Yes it is.
We will provide you with breakfast, lunch and dinner on Saturday and breakfast and lunch on Sunday. Snacks and beverages will be available throughout.
No. However, this is an experience that will give you the space to learn and experiment more than any certificate can endorse.
Infact we'd love to know from you. Apart from our list of ideas, your ideas are welcome too. On Saturday morning, we will have a 90 minute session to brainstorm project ideas and for you to get to know your co-hackers better.
After you register, we will go through the details provided and will send you an invite. This hackathon has limited seats, so please put some effort in your registration form.
You can work in a group or individually. We would recommend working in pairs, but three people may also work together. We feel that a group-size of more than 3 hampers the coding process, more than it helps.
You can work on any programming language of your choice.
You will need your Laptop (and the charger), pre-configured with software that you require to code. A change of clothes for Sunday will be a good idea! Please make sure that the development environment on your laptop is up and running before you come for the Hackathon so that you don't waste any time setting it up.
