Pinterest is the latest buzz in the world of social media and has quickly crept up to become the third most popular social media platform. We strongly believe that every tour & activity operator should seriously consider using Pinterest as a platform to promote their business.
In this post, our aim is to get your started with Pinterest – (1) guide you through the process of setting up your business account and (2) familiarize you with some cool marketing tools that Pinterest for Business offers.
There are two ways to setup a business account on Pinterest. You can either create a brand new account or convert your personal account into a business account.
Step 1: Go to the home page for Pinterest for Business and click on “Joins as a business”.
Step 2: Fill out your basic details and accept the terms of the agreement and then proceed to ‘Create Account’. You will be sent an email from Pinterest to confirm your account.
Step 3: Click on the name of your business in the top right corner and go to settings. Here you can add/edit information by going to the relevant sections.
Step 4: Start by clicking on ‘Edit Profile’. Enter your website name if you haven’t already and click on ‘Verify Website’.
Step 5: Follow the simple on-screen instructions and complete the verification. Once your website is verified, you can use the Analytics tool.
Step 6: Next you should add a ‘Pin it’ button to your website. Create one for yourself by clicking here.
