Bulk changes for Vacation Labs- AcceleRATE

If you ever wanted to change all your tour rates and dates for a new marketing plan, to make the most of the peak season, or on account of government regulations, you know how tedious bulk changes can get. Many of our clients have asked for help with these kinds of bulk updates.

To simplify the process VacationLabs has designed the AcceleRATE app to change tour prices and availability of any active tour. The app definitely makes our product easier to use. Especially if –

 

1. You include flight prices in your tour packages. Since flight charges are constantly changing so will your tour package rates.
2. You have multiple tours, for example, 950 tours in total and you need to change prices on weekdays, weekends or for an entire season.

What does AcceleRATE do?

AcceleRATE lets you edit, add and delete trip time slots, dates and rates in bulk with a single Google Spreadsheet. The true power of the feature shines through when you are battling with bulk tour updates like the ones we’ve mentioned.

How to activate AcceleRATE

Currently, AcceleRATE is a request only app. To activate it for your Vacation Labs account, give our team a call. Once done, you will receive a link to activate AcceleRATE and connect your Google account to it to generate a Google Spreadsheet with trip dates and rates, which you will be able to update.

On the setup page, click ‘Connect Google Account’ to proceed. Next, select or add the relevant Google account and allow Vacation Labs access to your Google Drive to complete the AcceleRATE set up.

How to use AcceleRATE

The AcceleRATE app offers four different commands that help you make changes to active trips.

1. Open sheet

First time users need to select this option to generate a Google Spreadsheet. By default the sheet is blank.

 

 

2. Reset sheet

This command resets the blank sheet with latest trip information from your Vacation Labs account. In the sheet named ‘Trips’, under the ‘To Be Fetched’ column change the word ‘No’ to ‘Yes’, against the tours you want to update.

 

 

3. Send Pricing Data

With this command, you generate trip pricing and dates in the sheet named ‘TripPricingData’. The sheet will show the time, dates and prices of each tour you requested. In this sheet, you can make updates in the following manner-

4. Update Trip Rates

Once the required updates are made to the sheet, select ‘Update Trip Rates’ to activate the changes to your Vacation Labs account.

It’s a nifty app that saves time, reduces confusion and limits errors while updating your tour prices and dates.
