Automatically request balance payments from your customers

With this new update, the Vacation Labs booking engine can now automatically request the remaining balance from customers who’ve booked using a partial deposit.

This release builds on the Automated Reminders for Payment Links feature introduced last week — which handled follow-ups for manual payment links created in the Backoffice.

In contrast, this enhancement focuses on bookings made with partial deposits. As soon as a deposit is received, the system automatically sends a balance payment request and follows up intelligently until the due date — helping you collect the remaining amount with zero manual effort.

Smart scheduling based on payment deadlines

The system determines which follow-ups to send based on how close the payment deadline is.

For example, if the deadline is only 10 days away, only the 7-day and 1-day balance requests will be sent — keeping communication relevant and avoiding unnecessary messages.

Why this is useful

This update ensures that every booking with a partial deposit moves smoothly toward full payment. Once the balance is settled, follow-ups stop automatically.

It helps teams reduce missed payments, maintain accurate booking statuses, and stay aligned with departure schedules — without needing to monitor each booking manually.
